YSHR Airside Road Rules
ALWAYS PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING AROUND YOU
• Directions given by Airport Staff must be followed. Airport Staff can over-ride all airport rules for your safety.
• Give way to ALL AIRCRAFT. They have right of way.
• NO VEHICLES ARE TO CROSS THE RUNWAY AT ANY TIME (only exceptions are emergency
vehicles in the case of an emergency.)
• All vehicles MUST come to a COMPLETE STOP at the doubles lines at each end of the runways and ensure that there are no incoming and departing aircrafts.
• While driving along all taxi ways, please DO NOT EXCEED a speed limit of 40km/h. (Emergency vehicles excepted in the case of an emergency)
• There is to be NO driving on the apron which is the concrete area in front of the large commercial hangars and terminal. (Airport vehicles & Emergency vehicles excepted)
• Hazard lights MUST be in use as soon as you go through the gates and are to REMAIN ON until exiting through the gates.
• STRICYLY DO NOT GIVE VISITORS/COURIERS THE GATE ACCESS CODE! You should arrange to meet your visitor or courier at the gates and escort them to and from your premises.
• Any gardeners or maintenance person must first contact Dan at Whitsunday Airport Management before entering the airside.
• The access code will be changed periodically as required. Home owners will be notified by email when the code changes.
• Electricity powers the gates so if there is a power loss the gates will not operate. Please

• In the unlikely event that the gates aren’t working properly or if you have any questions,

• Drones are not permitted for use within the airfield/residential homes.
